CAE Projects
What happens when commercial or off the shelf solutions are not appropriate to meet the individual needs of people with disabilities, the frail aged or their carers, or if such solutions are not affordable or exist?
TADWA is the organization that uses staff and skilled volunteers to customise technological solutions for you, from mobility aids to lifts and hoists to daily living assistance. We pride ourselves on providing home modifications that will assist people increase their level of independence and keep them living in the community.
Our CAE Project Teams
The project teams are made up of professionals and volunteers with backgrounds in trade, engineering, design and health fields or people who are good at applying practical knowledge to provide practical solutions. We work in conjunction with therapists and health care professionals, along with the family and care providers to ensure our solutions are appropriate to the needs of the individual.
Our Project Teams can assist with:
- Advocacy/information/advice and referral services;
- Design and fabrication of customised aids and services;
- Modification of existing aids and devices;
- Refurbishment of aids and equipment;
- Home modifications, including ramps / rails / sliding doors / shower hob removal / toileting aids;
- Educational aids and equipment;
- Work place modifications assistance;
- Design and development of recreational equipment;
- Hire and loan of equipment or aids for short or long term periods;
- Design and adaptation of communication devices and technology.
What costs are associated with such a service?
As a not-for-profit charitable organization our main objective is to provide these special solutions at minimal cost to clients. We will cost each job and provide quotations and options where necessary. Projects undertaken for clients who are HACC eligible may be entitled to subsidized costs. Please contact our
